Filing Instructions:
NOTE: The fee for this petition is now $110. There is no fee for filing the petition as an Amerasian.
If you are filing for classification as an Amerasian and the person you are filing for is outside the United States, you should file at the District or Sub-Office that has jurisdiction over the place he/she will live.
If you are filing for a Special Immigrant Juvenile, file the petition at the Distict or Sub-Office that has jurisdiction over the place he/she lives.
If you are in the United States and filing as a Widow(er), or as the Self-petitioning Spouse or Child of an Abusive U.S. citizen, you may file this petition with your application for adjustment of status.
If the petition is for an Amerasian, a Widow(er), or a Special Immigrant Armed Forces Member, and that person lives outside the United States, you may file this petition at the INS office overseas or the U.S. Consulate or Embassy abroad having jurisdiction over the area in which he/she lives.
Otherwise, file at the INS Service Center having jurisdiction over the state in which you live.
